“A Picture is Worth A Thousand Words: Using the Picture Exchange Communication System”  

Presenter: Candice Roberson, B.S., BCaBA

 

This informational session will provide an overview of the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). The presentation will prepare you to teach your learner how to use PECS. The presentation will cover all six phases of PECS and how PECS can be used with technology. Videos and role play will be used to assist with the presentation. This lecture is ideal for parents, teachers, students, and professionals. There is no cost to attend, and a complimentary lunch will be provided by JSC Federal Credit Union following the lecture.  CEUs are also available at no cost. To reserve your space or get more information, please e-mail autismcenter@uhcl.edu.  (Please RSVP no later than February 10th if you would like the complimentary lunch).

 

The presentation will be held in Lecture Hall 1100 of the Student Services Building on the UHCL campus from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
