Come and participate in this hands-on session about teaching and learning strategies that you can pull out of your hat the first few weeks of school! Activities will be based around reading and writing tasks and will be geared at levels K-4. Modifications throughout the session will be suggested for parents of older or younger children. The interactive nature of this workshop will allow for lively and fun participation. Every family will receive their own toolkit that they will take with them.

Dr. Lillian McEnery is an Associate Professor at the University of Houston- Clear Lake. She has taught 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade students.
Working at UH-CL for the last twenty years, she currently works with students and teacher candidates as the Director of the Reading Clinic on campus. Her passions lie in empowering parents, students, and teachers with effective tools and hands-on strategies to facilitate success for all students.
