Family Spring Fling

  Join GHFEDS for our annual Family Spring social at Resoft Park in Alvin, Pavilion closest to the playground, on Saturday May 8th from 11am-2pm.

   Kids will enjoy the playgrounds, volleyball (bring your own volleyball), horseshoes, dancing, pinata, bubbles, games, fishing, Sunny Sue the Clown will be doing face painting and balloon art. The park has basketball courts, please bring your own basketball.

 The Skittles Band will be performing, if your child is sensitive to noise please bring noise cancelling headphones. 

BBQ with all the fixings, snacks and drinks will be provided. 

We will have a raffle for 2 rods and reels.

The park has a lake on the property with fishing piers, there are ducks on the property and alligator signs are posted around the lake. Do Not feed the wildlife. Parents are responsible to watch your own children, GHFEDS is not responsible to watch your children around the lake.

The TPWD will be providing limited fishing gear and bait, you can bring your own fishing gear/bait as well. Bring your lawn chairs so you can sit around the lake, sunscreen and bug spray.

Fishing is allowed but you must abide by the Texas Freshwater Fishing Regulations, those 17 and older must have a fishing license, those with Ds are not required to have a license but must be accompanied by a parent with a license. A one day license costs $11, see links below.
