This class focuses mostly on the adaptations of plants, birds, and mammals.  Participants will have opportunities to touch animal and plant specimens and will be encouraged to draw conclusions about the organisms' adaptations.  In addition to the demonstration, participants will take a hike around the nature center, where they can observe plants and animals in their native habitats.

You must wear sneakers or boots, no opened toe or heel shoes, comfortable clothes, bring bug spray and sunscreen, and refillable water bottle.

Following the class we will have a picnic, please bring your own coolers, food and drinks. You will need to bring all food trash home with you to keep the wildlife out of the garbage cans.
