Thank you for taking the time to read through this email, as I feel it is of great benefit to our students in need and League City community. My name is Whitney Cavanah and I am the very proud owner of League City Performing Arts, a new performance arts studio opening March 16th!
Among our many classes offered at the studio, we are excited to announce that a special needs program is being developed. Our first class is offered on Wednesdays from 4-5pm for ages 6-14. The goal of this class is to give special needs students a fun filled learning environment to explore the art of movement. Students will be able to explore the fundamental concepts of ballet, jazz, and therapeutic, creative improvisation. They will learn the 5 basic ballet positions, how to point and flex their toes, and locomotion movements associated with ballet and jazz technique. As an introductory class, students will also learn the basics to traveling through space by jumping, leaping, galloping, and turning, along with choreography basics such as learning musical counts, formations, and memorization of steps. Most importantly this class is designed to fun music, may include props, and stages an opportunity for those special students to express their inner artist and perform in our annual productions!
If there is any way that you could personally help me spread the word about our studio, I would greatly appreciate it!
Please do not hesitate to ask questions or express concern, as well as share my contact info with others.
